Organizing the bedroom, what's my payoff?

  • My bedroom is my home base and keeping it organized is a must. If my room isn't in solid condition, it's difficult to keep the rest of my life on track. Here are some other reasons that motivate me to keep my room organized.
  • My room is the only space on the entire planet that is solely mine. Over the past sixteen years, I have collected a tremendous amount of stuff that I love and want to hold on to. Keeping my room in order minimizes the space that my things take up and allows me to bring more of what I want into my life.
  • My organized room allows me to maximize my space and time. If I have to make a display for a school project, and my room is in order, I can go in and get right to work.
  • My room boosts my confidence. In such a competitive world, it's comforting to know that I have myself together from the ground up (my room). It gives me confidence to know that I am on top of my game.
  • My room gives others (especially my mom!) confidence in me. An organized room tells the world that you have it all together. My mom is more comfortable in giving me my space and freedom because she knows that I can take care of myself.
  • Organizing my room allows me to do what I want, when I want. If I want to meditate with music, candles, and incense, it takes only a minute to get the aura going. My full collection of scents and my CDs are right where I need them.
